Henri Matisse: 4 Colour Artist Inspired Workshop

Tuesday 24th September

5pm – 8pm

Explore the wonders of risograph printing through our new 4 Colour Risograph Artist Inspired Workshops. Together we will explore the collage and colourful ‘cut – out’ techniques of the French artist Henri Matisse. In the last decade of his life, Matisse used the technique of paper collage to create a range of colourful works of abstract shapes and figures.

Experiment and print your own 4 colour risograph print edition inspired by Matisse, using Green, Fluro pink, Medium Blue and Orange ink! This will be a scissors and paper based workshop & artwork will be produced through an analogue, paper cut-out approach. This workshop is open both to beginners and experts. You’ll leave with a set of 20 four colour, A4 prints.

We will provide all the printing material as well as mark making and drawing material (ink, pastels, pencils, etc).

Feel free to bring black and white mark making materials and tools, in case you want to try anything specific.

**You don't have to come prepared! The most vibrant and creative outcomes are often produced by creating spontaneous artwork during the workshops! So just bring you, and something to take your prints home with!**
