Corners is a design studio and publishing house operated by two graphic designers; Hyojoon Jo and Daiwoong Kim in Seoul, South Korea. The print work they produce epitomises their technical knowledge over all aspects of the riso process; from prepress to production. Pristine photography, zappy graphic art and crisp publications are some of the many beautiful components form their portfolio that never cease to inspire fellow printers or designers alike.
About the workshop:
This specialist workshop will only be open to a handful of participants, and will comprise of a focused morning of practical demonstrations showing various multicolour results and explaining the printing processes. Throughout the afternoon we will print multicolour outcomes of your own artwork with various colour combinations and different print angles and LPI. Participants will learn various prepress techniques, including CMYK reproduction, preparing a file for multicolour riso printing and how to maximise the potential of the riso process.
Workshop Outcome: Two editions of 20 A3 multicolour prints of your own design
Audience: Creatives interested in learning advanced techniques in prepress and risograph printing. This is a rare opportunity to receive one to one advice on specific stylistic treatments from one of the best studio’s specialising in riso.
Advanced: Participants should be comfortable in adobe photoshop, working technically.
Previous riso experience is recommended.
